Blooms Wedding FAQ
How many weddings do you take in a weekend?
Up to three weddings, depending on size.
Do you rent any items?
Yes, vases, lights & candles. If we don’t currently have something you are looking for many times we can get it in for you to rent.
Can you work with my budget?
Yes we are able to work with any budget and will give you suggestions on how to get the style you want for a price you can afford.
How can I get you color samples?
We suggest going to a paint store and getting sample chips, they are free and come in lots of colors.
How far in advance should I book my wedding?
Depends on the time of year, but we will take weddings with as little notice as 2 weeks, if we have an opening. We recommend booking larger weddings 6 months to a year in advance.
How can I find out if the flower I want to use is available?
We offer free consultations and can go over what is in season. Many flowers are available year round.
What is you delivery area?
Depends on the wedding, but on average about 40 miles from Madison is the farthest we travel.
Can you help me to do my own flowers?
Blooms also offers wholesale flowers for the do it yourself bride. Assistance is also available. Our designers charge between $40 & $60 per hour (not including flowers) to help with design or answer questions.
What happens if I decide to book with you?
First we would be very happy! Next we will put you on our calendar immediately (even before you actually pay the deposit). We will then work on typing your handwritten consult notes into our contract and verifying all our prices, of course you can always meet with us again if things have changed drastically since the consult. Once we type up the contract we will e-mail it to you to edit and look over. Lastly we will snail mail a revised and signed copy to you. All you have to do is sign and return the contract with your deposit (usually $200).
*** Please note if you book you wedding during June, July or August it usually takes 1 month to receive the typed contract unless you request a "speedy" contract which we will then e-mail to you in 2 days and cost $10 extra which can be added to the wedding cost. During other months you can expect to see your typed contract in about 2 weeks.
What is you average price for a wedding?
This question is asked frequently and the true answer is we don't sell box weddings so the prices vary a lot. That being said I will list basic price ranges because it helps most brides get and idea of budget. Of course we have items that are higher or lower than prices listed this is just a general guide of what current Madison WI bride are paying at Blooms.
Brides Bouquets $65-$200 average bride spending around $135 at Blooms
Bridesmaids $35-85 average bride spending around $60 at Blooms
Boutonniere $8-15 average bride spending around $10 at Blooms
Corsages $11-30 average bride spending around $20 at Blooms
Centerpieces $15-150 average bride spending around $50 at Blooms
Church Arrangements $65-200 average bride spending around $100 at Blooms
Currently our average wedding with centerpieces is about $2500 but we have done "weddings" for $100 and up.
